Our mission: Customized Hand-Crafted Furniture, One Piece At-A-Time “For The Finish You Deserve”
We focus on using hardwoods for table-tops and benches used in high demand applications (kitchen, dining, couch, and coffee tables), while hall/entry tables have less wear and tear so softer woods can be utilized, often at a lower price point, depending on the thickness and or configuration you prefer.
Hello! My name is Melissa Ledbetter, owner of Cedar Ridge Blooms. I am a native Iowan and live 20 miles west of Waukee. I have always loved crafts & flowers. So when I stumbled across sola wood flowers in the summer of 2020, I knew that I wanted to give them a try! One order of these flowers & I was hooked.
Sola wood flowers are made from the shola plant. They are eco-friendly & sustainable- plus they last forever! Their natural color is ivory & some flowers include the rustic brown bark of the shola plant, making for a beautiful contrast! The flowers are gorgeous, realistic and can be painted or dyed any color. You aren't limited to the flower type due to the season, so if you want peonies in the winter or sunflowers in the spring, it's no problem!
I love painting these flowers and creating arrangements, wall décor, centerpieces, and wedding flowers. This was a perfect hobby during the pandemic! However, I soon ran out of room for all of the creations I wanted to make. I decided to make my hobby into a side business & started selling on Etsy and Facebook. While I love selling online, nothing can beat seeing the flowers in person! I am grateful for the opportunity to sell in JnM Marketplace.
I am also available for custom orders, including wedding flowers. If there are certain colors or flowers you would like, please feel free to reach out to me for a custom request. I would love to make your vision a reality!

My quest has always been to provide women with quality made clothing and accessories, made in America, that are unique yet fashion forward and timeless.
The current line I am showcasing in JnM Marketplace is Clara Sunwoo. This line is made in New York, USA and is designed by a mother and daughter team. Clara Sunwoo is a line that is known for its easy fit and ability to go from day to evening. Their liquid leather jacket even made Oprah's "favorite things" this past Christmas!
Crafting has always been part of my life. Starting when I was 9 yrs. old and my mother taught me to make Barbie Doll clothes, hand stitching with scraps of fabric. Later, while sitting with the men in my house watching ball game after ball game, I had to do something constructive; embroidery, knitting and crocheting, etc. Now my most fun craft involves my Cricut, along with my sewing machine. I even get out into my husband’s wood working shop from time to time. I enjoy crafting to express myself. I find it fun, productive and satisfying and sometimes money saving. I find that crafting has been a lifetime of personal enjoyment.

Hello and welcome to Dee Vinyl! I (Holly) and my husband, James currently reside in Altoona, Iowa. We were both born and raised in the Denver area, and moved out here four years ago to get away from the hustle and bustle of Colorado congestion and to raise our two beautiful children. Upon moving out here, one thing became apparent: small, independent craft vinyl stores just do not exist in Iowa. We wanted to be able to bring selection and affordability local, but also to be able to support our friends abroad.
We are continuing to expand our selection of high-quality craft vinyl and craft supplies. We currently carry Siser, Oracal and StarCraft vinyl in sheets and rolls, as well as glitter, blanks, and tools! We pride ourselves in excellent customer service, and love helping you perfect your projects! We are here to help you!
I use a Cricut Maker, and enjoy all things vinyl! James loves working in the shop in his spare time and making wood blanks for my creations.
My husband and I started out in 2018 with mainly signs, Christmas ornaments, birth stat animals, and various gifts for family members. In 2020, we expanded to tumblers and resin items. In mid-2021, sublimation products were added to the business. I enjoy crafting because I become a part of so many lives- especially when I personalize the product. Last year, I made several gifts for family members who lost a loved one. I hope the gift I made brought a small bit of joy to people during hard times.
My name is Delia. I am a native of Iowa and love this state and the people. I have created art ever since I can remember. I recall when I was a little girl, I drew a woman cooking in the kitchen and my family raved about it after seeing it. I think that gave me the drive to create more.
I started painting “Kindness Rocks;" if you are not familiar, that is painting hopeful messages or encouragement onto rocks and hiding them in public for people to find. I still do that, but it was the start of a whole new medium for me to explore. I do a lot of “foiling” technique onto my rocks. Sometimes it’s challenging, but I love the finished product. I have three art degrees and love to create digital art as well.
I have been crafting and creating for over 40 years. Our home-based family business allowed me to work from home while we raised our two sons. Now I spend my time in my shop at Valley West Mall, continuing to make personalized crafts and gifts for others. The shop in the mall is mainly dedicated to personalized custom items and I consign general gift items at two other locations that allows me to get creative with my own ideas. I just love sharing my joy of creating that special item for someone.
A mother’s love is strong, unconditional, and everlasting. I started writing as Glo Rose to create stories for my children that showed them my love is always with them. I wanted them to know that no matter what they face they are not alone. That the lessons life teaches them may be tough but are worth experiencing to get stronger and wiser.
As my writing developed, I decided that I wanted my books to help all children to understand and be proud of their unique selves. The content grew into helping children recognize their emotions, that whatever they are feeling is valid, and safe ways to express them to family or social media. Glo Rose Books has developed into a brand about helping children to better understand themselves while navigating this ever-changing world.

I currently create a unique variety of sublimation tumblers and super soft blankets. I am always thinking of new designs and products to add so check back often.

The Hey Fia! family consists of Lynnette (me), Kevin (husband), Sophia (Fia - first born) and Derek (second born). Hey Fia! was a family idea that we came up with during quarantine of 2020. We each had our own roles while we built the company- from creating the website, making the products, taking product pictures, inventorying items, marketing, and much more. It was amazing to work with the family on a project like this.
We continue to expand our product lines and currently offer earrings, leather cuffs, and keychains. The products were created to inspire a fun and unique twist on the handmaid jewelry market. "Hey, Fia! Cool earrings, where did you get them?" is something I've heard over and over again. Now you can help us say "I got them at hey fia!".
From our family to yours, we put lots of love and careful attention in each item. We hope you enjoy our work as much as we enjoy bringing it to you!

I began doing crafts as a child and I am now 80 years old. I get bored at times, so I quite often change what crafts I do. Right now, I am doing macramé, crocheting, and sewing. I make macramé wall hangings, shelves, Christmas décor, signs, etc. I also sew cloth purses (not on display at this time). The crafts keep me busy so I do not get bored.

Hi! I'm Lauren, owner of Lor’s Art Corner. While I can't say I am a native Iowan, I have lived in Iowa for the majority of my life. I grew up in Waukee (back when there were still gravel roads and everyone knew each other), and now live in West Des Moines with my husband. Painting is my stress reliever, and I tend to get lost in a different world when I paint (just like reading a book, you lose track of time and the world around you!).
I have always been crafty thanks to my mom nurturing my creative spirit since a very young age. In 2018, I started painting again when my Aunt suggested it and realized I still really enjoyed it. I started out in the corner of our spare room (thanks to my husband for giving up some sanity space) and started doing little paintings for friends and family. Then the pandemic hit and I just decided to go for it. In 2020 Lor's Art Corner LLC was born. Now I do a LOT of things, from painting, t-shirt design, tiny sewing projects, sculpture painting, and random other crafts born from customers' dreams. I love making dream art/projects become a reality.
"My name is Jacqueline, but most of my friends and family call me Jackie. I was born and raised in Arizona, but moved to Iowa and married the love of my life. We have two wonderful labs named Daisy and Tucker…they complete our little family!
There are many things that I’m passionate about in my life including family, friends, reading a good book, being a movie buff, singing in my car, and of course FOOD!! One of my earliest passions started when I was young and got to help my grandmother in the kitchen. I absolutely love to cook and try new recipes, but I would have to say my favorite is baking desserts!
Love and a Cupcake Home Bakery is just my side job right now, but I’m hoping to turn it into my full time job! I absolutely love making people smile when they try my desserts. My desserts include cupcakes, cookies, brownies, donuts, cream puffs, and many more."

"Sewing for me started out as something practical to learn to hem my own clothes and mend some small flaws or tears. I received my first basic sewing machine as a birthday gift from my grandmother in high school, but did not really learn to use it. Years later, my husband's mother started to show me different things to use the machine for. Then, the Covid pandemic hit and I started to sew a ton of facemasks. This was great practice to learn how to keep a straight line, read a pattern, and different uses for stitches. It made me want to make something else but still practical. I had been wanting a fun apron to bake with but wasn't able to find much that wasn't standard, one color or way too frilly. So at the fabric store one day, I found a pattern to take home and try. Off I went! I loved picking my fabric pattern and making an apron for myself and one for my daughter to match me with! These aprons will mark some great memories for my daughter and I over the years and I want to share that with others!"

I have scrapbooked for as long as I can remember! Between the role of mom and full-time teacher, designing and completing scrapbooks shifted to a few-and-far-between hobby. Since I have retired, I have rediscovered scrapbooks and have discovered the craft of making cards. Card-making started when my first child was getting married and we decided to make our own bridal shower invites; Mom's Crafty Cards was created! Being newly retired, I was thrilled at the opportunity to make these cards for my daughter.
Throughout making and selling cards, I have met amazing friends and mentors along the way. I had a great neighbor at the time that also made cards and she was a great friend and resource! I love to learn new techniques! I enjoy making cards and feel that I can provide a beautiful, quality product at a more reasonable price than many box stores. I am available for custom orders, bulk orders, or personalized cards. To get cards in a timely order, I am always thinking ahead to the next calendar event (holidays, time of year) that a greeting card may be used. My cards are blank on the inside (unless requested otherwise) and come with an envelope.
Hello! My name is Melissa and I started Monster Knots Creations right before the fantastic chaos of COVID-19. It has been my dream to create something I could use to inspire creativity and innovation in others, and crafting is my weapon of choice. I have always wanted to share my crafting with others, mainly to use it as a tool to instill confidence in their skills and teach them the calming side effects of creating.
In my spare time I wrangle my 3 monster boys, manage my home garden, and work with children to build their confidence in their interactions in the world around them. It is also a love of mine to tackle difficult new projects large and small. I appreciate the challenge in finding solutions to create beautiful and unique pieces of commissioned art.
I'm Jodie Hand (Mrs. Hand). I am a watercolor artist, pattern designer and I create graphic files for cutting on my laser engraver / cutter. My laser cut products include custom laser cut ornaments, holiday and home décor pieces and signs. I sell prints of my artwork in multiple sizes as well as create my own custom artwork stickers.
I enjoy creating tutorials for watercolor techniques and teaching others how to use watercolors to create their own masterpieces. I also make my own watercolor paints and sell them in my Etsy shop along with my artwork and other handmade items. I have created many pattern designs available on fabric and home décor products as well. My favorite custom paintings are house portraits which make a beautiful and unique gift for anyone!

"Precious Blessings has been around for 3 years and was a staple at the Altoona Outlets shows before the pandemic. As the “blanket lady” I love creating your little ones new favorite blanket or lovey. I’ve been sewing for as long as I can remember and was taught by my mom when I was younger. Hi, my name is Brandi Long. I own Precocious Dandelion Designs. I started my business in the summer of 2020. I make epoxy tumblers and resin art. I offer a wide selection of resin art, ready to-go tumblers, and I take special request for custom designs.
Before I started my business, I was over my head with stress. I was working full-time, going to school full-time, and taking care of a special needs adult child as a single parent. I needed a creative outlet to relieve my stress. Then I saw a tumbler someone made with glitter and epoxy; I was in awe. I knew that was what I wanted to do. I cut my classes down to part-time and bought a cup turner on Amazon and some glitter. After a few YouTube videos, I gave it a whirl. Now- almost a year later- I have 11 cup turners and a lot of glitter. I have found my artistic niche! I have now made over 200 tumblers, and I still love it! It provides the decompression and relief from stress that I was looking for.
I love to make custom cups for people and watch their face light up with joy when they see it. I am always looking for new designs and styles to try. I decided to start selling my tumblers because, well… how many cups does one person need?
"Hello! I'm Nichole Conner, owner of The Queen of Cheesecakes. The Queen of Cheesecakes specializes in small batch cheesecakes and other desserts.
"I began baking for friends and family about 10 years ago, then graduated to church dinners and picnics. After much pressure, I have finally decided to share our baking goodness with the rest of the world, by opening a licensed in-home bakery in Ankeny.
"I'm also a wife and mother of six; the youngest two are
3-year-old boy/girl twins."
After ten years of working at The Iowa Children's Museum in Iowa City and in retail, Dylan Vaughan finally took the plunge and decided it was time to use his Bachelors of Fine Arts degree from Iowa by starting his own makers business in small town Newhall, Iowa. So, in August of 2020, in the middle of a pandemic, he quit his job as an assistant manager in building materials at Menards and moved home to Newhall, Iowa to remake his father's old shop to his needs and start “Dylan's Designs: Raw to Refined.” Dylan converted a largely wood working shop to accommodate the metal working that he specializes in. By the end of the year, Dylan was beginning to place items on Etsy and at the Pourville gallery in Vinton, Iowa. Dylan is also teaching classes in metalworking at Pourville.
Currently Dylan is taking classes through Kirkwood Community College in welding and loving expanding his knowledge of metal working. With welding, casting, and forging he feels like he will have it all. Though Vaughan's greatest love lies in metals and smithing, he works in other mediums as well creating wooden bowls, small furniture, forged can-openers, bracelets, pendants, animal figures, metal boxes and more. “I am fascinated by making things of beauty from inexpensive and reclaimed materials,” he says.
Welcome to Renovated Nest! My name is Nicki Michels and I am a local artist. I was a stay-at-home mom as we brought each our children home to our Nest. Our Nest was crazy busy with numerous kids’ activities for many
years. Luckily, I had an opportunity to share my love of creating art through various mediums when I helped with
several group art projects in preK-8th grade classrooms. What a great way to utilize my design degree, foster my
inner artist and help instill a love of art in our youth. I soon found myself creating ornaments for neighbors and
plaques as teachers gifts. With a few power tools and a cart full of paint, a full fledge hobby was born. Years passed,
the Nest changed and the hobby grew. When the last one left the Nest, it was empty and time to renovate!
The designs of Renovated Nest embrace color, lots of color! I use images and words in collage to depict a story.
I brighten up and give new life to found wood pieces such as brushes, boxes and trays. My custom plaques and
boxes have been used to mark many life events such as birthdays, weddings, retirements, anniversaries, and
memorials. On a smaller scale, I design and create wood ornaments for all occasions!
Hi! My name is Rita Doty, a small town girl! I grew up in a small Iowa town, called Mingo. I had a great childhood with so many family members and friends there.
My love of doing floral arrangements started when I was a little girl with my Grandma. She always had such beautiful flowers. She would let me help her with the ones she was making but also let me do little ones of my own, picking out the flowers that I wanted to put together. I've been doing arrangements for years, mostly for my family and my own home.
Unfortunately, I did not inherit Grandma's green thumb! But VIOLA- beautiful silk flowers became readily available; I have been in a creator's heaven ever since! I enjoy making arrangements with more then just lovely vases, using unique, non-traditional items such as, mason jars, old pitchers, ceramic jugs, old flour sifters, or anything else I can find! I enjoy making something visually interesting and unique. Besides floral arrangements, I also love to make things out of reclaimed wood (or other beautiful materials) into serving trays that I découpage. And I love getting into the kitchen to make homemade salsa for selling too!
Hello! My name is Diana and I am the owner of Sarcastic Mama Decor. I make handmade shadow boxes of all types, the possibilities are endless! "My mother taught me to sew as her mother taught her. Sewing seems to sooth my soul and fuel my passion for creativity. I love to seek out new and different fabric patterns and match different color combinations.
My notebooks and journals are my own creations that have been refined over the years. I make practical items that can be used for many different purposes. Most items are machine washable and will last a long time. I pride myself on the time and quality I put into making each item. I have made many custom items like book covers, Bible covers, and special table runners."
My name is Stephanie Greedy, and I’m a business systems analyst by day and avid artist and crafter in the early morning hours and weekends. I am a native central-Iowan. I grew up in rural west-central Iowa with my parents and younger sister. I attended Panorama Community School, and graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in 2001, majoring in Anthropology and Sociology. I currently live in West Des Moines with my husband and three daughters, ages 16, 15, and 11. My family is amazingly supportive of my creative endeavors, and I would not be where I am today without them.
I am a life-long artist and crafter, and I’ve always had a strong creative drive. I began selling my polymer clay crafts at the Downtown Des Moines Farmers Market when I was 12 years old, working in my dad’s booth where he sold his barnwood birdhouses. I owned an art and craft boutique for a time in Jefferson, Iowa. I’ve worked as a freelance artist and my artwork was the first rooftop art installment in Jefferson, visible from the historic Mahanay Belltower. I’ve taken on some interesting projects such as sculpting a 6-foot-tall Audrey II puppet for a production of Little Shop of Horrors, and painting an impressionist “rug” on the floor of a hip little coffee house, Crafting has always held a very special place in my creative life, and I most enjoy working with wood, fabric, and clay.

My name is Ann and I am an avid lover of DIY crafts and owner of Wildcat Art Designs. My crafting journey began when I attended my first stamping card class many years ago. Fast forward to 2019, in the garage. Every time my husband would cut wood for his Honey-do projects, I found myself lingering around his saw, taking in the intoxicating smell of fresh cut wood. Surely, this must be a sign? I knew that I could design, cut, sand, and assemble almost anything my mind created. From my determination on independence and stress relief, I trained myself (with help from my husband, videos, and manuals) on how to use the saws, sanders, drills, and how to prevent many burned fingertips while using a hot glue gun. Not sure that I will ever stop that from happening! After a few successful self-made wood projects, I know where I am supposed to be- creating with wood!
